Giovanna Trischitta has more than 27 years of experience in film production as well as domestic and international distribution.
Ms. Trischitta was most recently Chief Operating Officer of Volga Films (Film Depot) a Russian Theatrical, Video and Television distribution company with offices in Los Angeles, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kiev. As COO Ms. Trischitta was directly responsible for the company’s overall operations and spent many months in Russia overseeing the company’s expansion while it successfully released a slate of critically acclaimed films including Slumdog Millionaire, The Wrestler, the Cannes Grand Prix winner A Prophet as well as successful commercial films such as The Last Exorcism, Men Who Stare at Goats, and Hunger Games.
Prior to her tenure at Volga Films, Ms. Trischitta was one of the key executives hired to launch the U.S. arm of the successful UK Company, Tartan Films. In her role as Senior V.P. of Tartan Films USA she managed all aspects of the operations of the US Company including its newly formed home entertainment division and its successful label “Asia Extreme”.
Ms. Trischitta also spent four years at First Look Media as V.P. of Worldwide Sales Operations, where she was responsible for streamlining all aspects of sales operations including overseeing the servicing department.
Ms. Trischitta’s also served as Director of the Los Angeles office of Produzioni Cinematografiche C.E.P., s.r.l., an Italian production company, for 15 years where she worked to develop film projects, negotiated deals with talent and oversaw on set operations on such films as A Fine Romance starring Julie Andrews and Marcello Mastroianni, Only One Survived, a CBS/RAI Television co-production starring Perry King, The Legendary Life of Earnest Hemingway starring Victor Garber and Black as the Heart starring Giancarlo Giannini.
