Combining live-action filming and photoreal animation, I, OBJECT follows ten-year-old Tom who has taken refuge in the world of his imagination after the death of his father. Inanimate “things” have come to life in Tom’s world. He befriends his alarm clock Little Ben, stolen kitchen grater Alexander the Grate, old soda can Pop, and broken-down Cadillac Fleetwood.  Since he’s in his own world, Tom’s mother, Abigail, doesn’t understand her son and his stepfather, Frank, doesn’t want to! Tom isn’t any more popular with kids his own age until he meets Allie, a girl escaping her own emotionally distant parents, who shares a world no one else can see. But when Frank cleans house, sending all the objects he holds dear to the junkyard, Tom must rescue friends and, in the process, come to accept the loss of his father and his renewed love for actual human beings.
